A farm tour follows\, offering insight into sustainable growing practices and the importance of caring for land and natural resources. \nThe evening culminates in a Gullah-inspired campfire supper featuring Carolina Gold rice and Sea Island red peas from Rollen’s Raw Grain\, along with locally sourced meats\, fresh baked goods\, and seasonal dishes—including a recipe honoring The Taste of Country Cooking by Edna Lewis. \nA highlight of the event is a presentation by Rollen Chalmers\, a farmer and conservation-minded grower whose work preserving heirloom crops reflects a deep commitment to environmental stewardship\, habitat preservation\, and the cultural legacy of the Gullah Geechee people. \nThis gathering offers more than a meal—it is an opportunity to engage with the land\, learn from those who steward it\, and experience firsthand how conservation\, culture\, and community are deeply connected.
