DESCRIPTION:This special August event offers fresh tourism ideas and discussion of hot topics as well as an opportunity to network. \nThe Aug. 2 event will be held in the Midlands at Clinton Sease Farm in Lexington. A seasonal farm offering: Strawberries\, Sunflower Weekends\, Educational Tours and Classes\, Pumpkin Patch\, Hayrides\, Playgrounds and an 8-acre Corn Maze full of turns\, clues and so much more…every visit you will see new adventures added to the farm. \nTime: 10 am – 2 pm \nPre-registration required by Monday\, July 25\, 2022. SUMMARY:The Next\, Next Greatest Thing -- Rural Broad
DESCRIPTION:Jim Stritzinger\, Director\, Broadband Office\, SC Office of Regulatory Staff (SCORS) will speak on The Next\, Next\nGreatest Thing — Rural Broadband. The Broadband Office provides community support and technical assistance by training and supporting South Carolina communities in their efforts to expand broadband adoption and use. The Broadband Community Champion Program was created in coordination with local community leaders and non-profit organizations. The program gives attendees a basic understanding of broadband technologies and shares challenges and barriers that can exist for broadband access\, adoption\, and use. Attendees are also provided information on Broadband Office maps\, surveys\, and applications.
