DESCRIPTION:Every Saturday in October from 9am to 5pm Dorr Farms offers a pumpkin patch\, hayless hayride\, corn maze\, pony rides\, petting zoo\, photo ops\, and food trucks. The last Saturday in October we also have trunk or treating so come dressed up! Admission is $7 per person. 2 and under is Free.

DESCRIPTION:It’s fall festival fun!! The Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch has grown to be one of the largest festivals in the state!!\nNow in its 26th year\, Boone Hall is proud of the fact that this event is a fall tradition for many families that is being passed down from generation…to generation. It’s an event where the laughter and squeals of excitement tell the story.\nThis year’s event features a petting zoo\, magic shows\, pig and goat races\, two of the largest jump pillows in the state\, playground area\, water duck races\, and a variety of other good ole fashioned fall fun including the giant eight-acre Boone Hall Farms Corn Maze. The very popular Family Friendly Halloween Tractor Tour will feature a variety of new colorful scenes and displays that will introduce a number of new special effects that will entertain people of all ages. There will be a variety of those festival foods we all love and of course\, a variety of pumpkins of all shapes\, sizes\, and colors will be available for purchase.\nOpen every Friday-Saturday and Sunday Oct 7th through Oct. 30th. Dairy goats\, our Belgian horse\, emus\, ducks\, geese\, pigs\, peacocks\, and more! Over 30 local vendors have signed up to attend\, plus all new Gellyball! Wear comfortable walking shoes as there is much to explore. You may want to wear bugspray as well\, we love our pollinators and don’t spray our property\, but they usually are not to bad. SUMMARY:Getting to Know Mushrooms
DESCRIPTION:Next in our farm series on Dr. George Washington Carver  is …Dr. Carver the mycologist\,  with a focus of sharing information about his mushroom collections and fungi research. In addition we hope to introduce and build the skills needed to identify local south eastern mushrooms especially those in our local lowcountry communities. The class will be a combination of lecture and outdoor experience to look at physical identification features\, likely locations\, and the seasonal occurrence of mushrooms.  \nAttendees will be provided information about how to grow mushrooms using indoor kits\, use mushroom plugs in logs and cultivating in hardwood chip beds or mulch. Tour the property with presenters and look for and practice identifying mushrooms. Chef and Forager Alex Curtis @acurtcooks will share her knowledge as a licensed forager and prepare the meal for the event\, vegan choices will be available. The class is open to individuals and families with children. There will be handouts that can be available digitally. There will be a special take home activity for children.  \nCamping spaces are available for travelers through @hipcamp \, where we are listed as “Friendly Fowl Farm”.
