Agritourism is the crossroads between agriculture & tourism.

It includes any activity carried out on a working farm or ranch that allows the public, for recreational, entertainment, or educational purposes, to view or enjoy rural activities. This could include trail rides, farm tours, hayrides, hiking trails, fishing, bird watching, animal experiences, festivals & events, U-picks, on-farm shopping, hands-on education for kids, demonstrations, work-on-a-farm experiences, overnight stays, event & wedding rentals, farm to table dinners, and more!

When visiting farms as part of our state’s agritourism experience, please remember that these are working farms, where daily tasks and responsibilities keep the farm running smoothly. Farmers work hard to care for their crops, livestock, and land, often following a strict schedule to ensure the well-being of their animals and the success of their harvest. If your visit includes areas with farm animals, be mindful that their feeding, milking, and general care happen at set times, and disruptions can affect both the animals and the farmers. We encourage all visitors to enjoy the beauty of farm life while respecting the dedication and routine that make these farms thrive.
